Cole Schotz P.C.

Cole Schotz provides comprehensive construction related services, for every phase of construction projects, both public and private, throughout the country. Our services include the preparation and negotiation of complex construction contracts, advising on requisite insurance coverage, surety and bonding needs, labor laws and union participation, and company formation and ownership agreements, and providing counseling on contract administration, lien claims, risk management, and environmental and OSHA compliance.

In addition, we represent owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, trade contractors, utility contractors, material suppliers, engineers, design professionals and bonding companies in connection with a broad spectrum of construction related disputes.  We routinely assist clients in resolving disputes relating to defects, extra work, project impacts, delays, actual and constructive acceleration, and payments.

The firm’s construction attorneys actively participate in legal and construction industry trade organizations, including the ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, the Associated General Contractors of America, and the American Institute of Architects. They also regularly contribute articles to legal and trade association journals and publications on construction law topics and lecture on these topics to legal and construction industry groups.
