OVERVIEW
Brian King is a trial attorney who primarily focuses on commercial and intellectual property litigation, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and breach of contract matters. Brian has represented fortune 500 corporations, technology companies, and inventors in complex multimillion dollar actions in cases involving a diverse array of technologies and products. Brian has experience with handling all phases of litigation, including written discovery and document production, fact and expert witness depositions, Markman briefings and hearings, dispositive motion briefing and hearings, trials, appeals, and mediation/settlement. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous federal jurisdictions across the country, including the Eastern District of Texas, the Western District of Texas, the Northern District of Texas, the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Northern District of California. This experience includes large multi-district and class action litigation. Brian has extensive experience representing large and small companies in cases that go to trial. Brian has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts involving patent infringement, breach of contract, breach of warranty, tortious interference of contract, trade secret misappropriation, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty. In addition, Brian also tried over twenty jury trials to verdict as a Deputy Prosecutor for the City of Houston as part of an attorney loan program. Brian graduated with honors from The University of Texas School of Law. He also graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Brian began his career as an associate with Baker Botts, LLP in Houston, Texas and Winstead PC in Austin, Texas. Prior to attending law school, Brian worked in finance in New York City.
