Marlon Amprey is an associate in the Corporate, Finance & Business Transactions Department in Baltimore. Marlon joined Cole Schotz in 2020. Prior to joining Cole Schotz, Marlon was a corporate associate at a large international law firm in Washington, D.C.
Marlon’s practice encompasses a wide range of corporate matters for clients that include large companies, emerging companies, international and regional entrepreneurs, privately held businesses, venture capitalists, underwriters, and investors of all descriptions.
Marlon earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland-College Park, an M.Ed. from George Mason University and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania with a Certificate in Business Management from the Wharton School. During law school, Marlon served as a congressional intern in the House of Representatives with the late Elijah Cummings. Marlon was also an editor on the Journal of Business Law and was a founding executive board member of the Journal of Law and Public Affairs as the Symposium Editor.
Prior to attending law school, Marlon was a Teach for America Corps Member and taught for a total of four years. Marlon remains committed to improving outcomes for youth in Baltimore. Marlon volunteers as a “Big Brother” for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America and serves as a board member for The Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Baltimore and Code in the Schools.
