Matthew Livingston is an associate in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Department. He counsels clients on all aspects of in- and out-of-court restructurings, reorganizations, and liquidations. Matt advises distressed companies and chapter 11 debtors, buyers of distressed assets, DIP lenders and other secured and unsecured creditors. In addition to his chapter 11 experience, Matt has also represented creditors in chapter 15 proceedings.
Matt’s experience includes representation of the debtors in the Chapter 11 cases of Nortel Networks and of creditors and strategic buyers in several large chapter 11 cases, including In re: Sears Holdings, et al., In re: Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., et al. and In re: RM Holdco, et al.
Prior to joining Cole Schotz, P.C., Matt was an associate in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group at the New York office of an international law firm.
