Niky's practice is focused on patent and intellectual property litigation. She has a background in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power electronics and hybrid electric vehicles. She has litigated a wide range of cases on both the plaintiff’s and defense side, involving software design and application, virtual reality interfaces, microprocessors and integrated circuits, encryption algorithms, mapping architecture and programs, and mechanical devices – to name a few. She has represented her clients before Federal District Courts across the country as well as before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in post grant proceedings. Her extensive trial experience puts her in a unique position to analyze and evaluate intellectual property litigation from inception to termination.

Niky also practices before the Patent and Trademark Office. In addition to traditional patent and trademark prosecution, Niky assists her clients with patent and intellectual property strategy. She has served as general counsel, managing and assisting with her client’s development of complex patent and trademark portfolios and litigation matters.

Previously, Niky worked with the Washington State Attorney General's Office. As an Assistant Attorney General, she represented various state agencies in civil proceedings. She litigated numerous trials, represented the state in various motions and hearings, argued cases before the Washington Court of Appeals, and represented the state before the Washington Supreme Court.

Niky was named a 2019-2020 Global Fellow of the Federal Circuit Bar Association. She is an active member of Dallas IP CLE Committee and Texas Patent Pro-bono Advisory Committee.

Niky enjoys the great outdoors, including hiking and kayaking, in addition to traveling. She believes that learning is a life-long journey and striving for excellence a daily practice.
